Made a skeleton of an animal that doesn't exist out of various... parts I've collected. Interference green and some experimenting with layering watercolors, oil colors, and acrylics.
Fun
Yeah, I know, the lighting's not too good. I've really got to get a better one than this, but I was in a hurry this morning.

This guy had a very... false smile the whole ride- I think it was some kind of neurological problem, and it was especially disturbing.
If anyone knows anyone in Portland who might be interested in our Room-to-let, or if you're just a curious cat- here are some photos of it, and no, we havne't removed any furniture from the room YET.

The funniest thing I've read all week
You should really read that- especially if you've ever played any incarnation of the Sims

Drowsy man.
I Especially liked his eyesockets.
Listening to the Velvet Underground.
Forgot how much I love their album with Nico.
That woman was something else.
I got some great new headphones but now I can't find my MP3 player.
Durrr.
I've also decided to unlock my journal- I feel like an idiot locking everything.
The night before last I had a dream about Dax Riggs- I dreamed I had convinced him to come over and hang out even though we'd never met- mainly for Hunter's birthday- He showed up and was really awesome and we were drinking a beer and kicking up our heels and I was like "Hunter look what I found!" and he shrugged and just didn't care, which is- lol- NOT what would happen. (he thought this dream was pretty funny too)
But then we (Dax and I) just decided to hang out and smoke a joint and watch the sky and it was really great.
I never dream about famous people, and oddly in this dream everyone looked like who they were, though the house was all different.
It was very vivid, and very very cool- since on that invisible list of "people I'd like to hang out with but will never get the chance" that we all have, he's at the top.
I <3 dreams.

Probably many of you are familliar with this (Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers) amazing book, and if you're not, you should be--- well joy of joys I just found out she has TWO MORE
Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife
and
Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex
So I immediately spent my last few dollars on them and will be waiting excitedly for their arrival.
Also, as of today, I have some dreadful infection on my tonsils. I'm hoping it gets really bad so I can stay home sick, but for now, it's just annoying and makes me feel like I need to swallow all the damned time.
Last Thursday was unparalelled for awesomeness. My dearest friends
theeflappergirl and Paris (with the magnanamous Freya) took a long walk up Mt Tabor, sat in the shade, then went to a French bistro and had strawberry mimosas.
I saw this along the way.

I recently finished my newest art progect- It's another jellyfish but this one is made out of industrial bits and lenses:

All in all I'm fairly pleased.
Also, I've been learning to knit, which I'm godawful at for the moment, but at least I'm faster than I was 2 days ago.
I have about 4 inches of a terribly made scarf to show for all my hard work ATM, but it's still oddly gratifying- I feel like knitting is one of those primal things that we should all pretty much know how to basically do- like making fire or baking bread.
Oh, and I got my book in the mail last week- it's bloody GREAT and I'm very pleased with the color reproduction- I don't have it right now (loaned it to a coworker) but when I do I'll post the obligitory "here's me and my book" photo.
Until that glorious moment, here's some awesome new photos, that will be in next year's edition.
( Oh Portlanders )
